paranoia

disappointment can come in many flavours.

tomorrow is my "speshul" day. it, and the money issues, and a snarky letter, are the price i pay for spending new years' in the south. it's really hard to tell who is on your side sometimes. system-loving bastards. and breathe.

i may go skiing, if the weather permits. i hope it permits. i will take nalu with me... she'll love it! i think she's lonely a bit since fiona's being mama most of the time.

i've been eating a lot of bacon. i like bacon, but i'm eating it because i like to pour the bacon grease onto the dogs' food. i'm so whipped! i'm eating saturated pig fat on a regular basis so my doggies can enjoy bacon drippings on their food. there oughta be a law...

i love getting care packages. i mean, who doesn't? i think people should send care packages more often, and not just to me. i should be sending care packages down, people should be sending them laterally across the country. my sister just sent me one, and it included melatonin. i don't know if you guys have heard of this stuff, but it is supposed to help you sleep. i hope it works, because i feel like i've been perching on the edge of sleep instead of sleeping deeply. it's really unusual for me, the human log.

yeah. twilight world i am living in. i am homesick today. i want to get lost in a crowd of strangers, and then bump into an old friend. instead i am seeing acquaintances everywhere, but no friends.

What's your special day? I don't know about this. Is it a day of extra bacon, perhaps??

I think it's completely ok to be eating a bunch of bacon, or whatever comfort food is working for you right now. I'm sorry you're feeling down. Do you know when you're coming south?

In the meantime, here's Sir Wilfrid Laurier as Mr. Spock:

my speshul day is my involuntary day off. I used it well, but neglected to ski in the frigid ice fog caused by snow and ice skipping the liquid phase and going straight to gas, and then recondensing in the air as ice crystals.

where's wilfred?

Click on the date-stamp on my comment above. For some reason it put my link there.
