remember that white husky that i thought was dead? well, she must have found a good hiding place to sleep off that tranquilizer dart, because she's back! i was so happy to see her. she's a really good dog. and apparently a smart one, too.

my mom is incomprehensible sometimes.

my sore throat has descended into my chest. i now have one of the sexiest voices in town.

this afternoon for friday afternoon activities, we all went skating at the recently opened arena. i had a great time... skate trains, tag, dodge-the-puck (this last game isn't really a game so much as survival). one of my students loaned me a hockey stick, and i practiced my slapshots alongside the boys. it was a grand time.

i have a beef with the arena though. since it has opened for the year, my students have fallen OFF the wagon as far as homework, morning attendance, and attitude go. my group of giggly girls have gone ballistic, and the boys are high or else asleep. all of them do all of this with iPod earphones implanted in their ears. and exams start next week.

have you ever noticed that fuck isn't the only four-letter word that starts with F? around here, fair seems to be far worse...

here is what i have decided, for whatever it's worth: i'll do what i'll do, and i'll not make someone else's problems mine.
