oh my friends...

i need a phone!! it's been weeks since i've heard the voice of a friend. people here are nice, but they don't know me yet. i wish the technician would come back to town - he's been out on the land for a couple of weeks!! i talked to my mom once or twice, but that's it. can you imagine??

had a good day at school with the students. still having issues with admin. i just found out today that i've been teaching the wrong course to the wrong kids. finally today i discovered it and we got the thing fixed. but get this: the admin, in all brilliance (brilliance = dimness btw) made me and wingman each teach a section of the same feck'd course so 'we would collaborate'. have you ever heard anything so ridiculous?? he's my roommate - i see enough of him at home. i don't want to be forced to collaborate with my roommate! it's a stupid idea. why make us each prepare for a course when one preparation would suffice? we have so little prep time already - an average of half an hour a day. it's frustrating. the kids are great, bit the admin is working so hard on every level to make life and work difficult for us.
