yo-yo

gramma is not well. she is probably not going to get better this time. futility is so frustrating.

still packing and sorting and cleaning. actually, haven't got to the cleaning yet, which is too bad b/c puppies tracked half the backyard into my kitchen last night. li'l buggers.

i think i'm on a mini one-person rollercoaster. as much as i'm sad to leave, i'm starting to look forward to it, simply because i'll be able to take a deep breath and relax for a few minutes. sometimes, in a place of wealth and activity, i feel like i need to do everything. especially when i have a deadline. that's how i've been going the last few months. since mid-may, i feel like i've been a blur to myself. i'm losing track of my loose ends, and they're getting away from me and multiplying. too much change in too short a time. you know what i mean.

so it will be good to arrive in a place where there is not much to do. i'll be able to do everything and still get a good night's sleep.

i forgot to put something on my top ten list two posts ago - happy husky bums make me happy. my pupps have a way of putting all their glee into the way they carry their tails. when i see a happy busky bum, i have a sense of well-being and i want to go snorgle them, in cuteoverload-speak. how can you stay mad at a muddy dog when they're obviously so pleased as punch to see you? and they know it, too. they carry mischief in their bums.

tomorrow's 'soiree' has me all in knots. i waited too long to do the invites because i'm a procrastinator, and so there are many folks who will not be able to come. my bad. i'll start organizing for next summer at january, perhaps. in any case, i will hopefully see most of you who read this electronic rag tmo evening.. right? 9 pm? right? i seriously need to get the beck-truck in gear if my apartment is to be presentable by that time.
