i think i have entered the manic part of my trip, as i begin to realize my time at this latitude is limited.
your perception of time can really impact your outlook. i have three months left (April, May and June) in northtown before summer holidays. and i find that southerners (i.e. YOU) feel that to be a short time. in some ways i agree - only 12ish weeks, right? they will speed by. but i know they will go so slowly. i don't think you all realize how i miss you. very little makes me happier than being sitted at the goat and having a friendly face walk in and join me (for example... you can extrapolate the chance meeting among friends to other situations).
i have the rest of today, tomorrow, mon, tues and wed to collect my thoughts and my parcels, to organize myself and visit with friends, to run my errands, meet my appointments and shop. it sounds like a lot, but it will fly, and soon i will be sitting on a plane again, teary-eyed and all choked up and tired. oh so tired.
i feel dissociated. my northern psyche is stoked to get this pottery thing going and to establish the hip-hop club more firmly. my northern psyche toys with the idea of one more year to really do this art program right. i started something and part of me wants to see it through. BUT, my southern psyche says STOP THE INSANITY!!! More time away is just that: more time away. Delaying the inevitable.
It's a dangerous business, going out of your door. You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.
