safe for all readers

i'm pissed that i just had to switch to new blogger. it pisses me off when i am forced to change.

i went to the dentist today and i had my first cavity in ten years. sucks ass. especially since the left side of my face is still frozen and i bit my lip eating supper. i haven't had freezing since i got my tongue pierced many years ago. i'd forgotten how weird it feels... all puffy and numb and yet you can feel pressure. the funny side of it was that i also saw my eye dr today and he put drops in so he could look at my retina and for some reason after those drops, my pupils return to normal at different rates (the left is substantially slower).

so i went to buy gas after seeing the dentist and optometrist and i was slurring my words with dilated pupils of different sizes. who knows what the gas-dude was thinking... ;P haha

as i was doing the drive from k-town to the GTA, I did some remembering. a funny clunking sound in my car reminded me of last winter when the water pump in my coolant system died and i got stranded in front of collins bay penitentary and had to wait for CAA. anyway, the tow truck driver was super nice and chatted with me about his little daughter and was so so kind as i dissolved in tears (because at that time, I really didn't need a dead car, being broke as i was).

and then, later, when i was leaving the dentist's with a puffy and frozen face, i remembered the last time i hung out with my gramma in downtown peterboro... she'd been to the dentist and was all frozen up and i had to help her put on her lipstick. we had a good laugh. i like to remember her that way.

i'm all pins-and-needly in my face now that the freezing is starting to come out. there is a little ache in my jaw where dude put the needle in, and the spot i bit is beginning to smart.

melanie, where are you???

just to be a jerk i'll tell you that i've NEVER had a cavity. which IS odd because i didn't take care of my teeth very well as a kid. i almost think that sort of thing is hereity because some people just can't help getting hordes of cavities.

welcome to new blogger. its not so bad once you get used to it.

jerk.

i think you are right. i had a lot of cavities as a kid, and my dentist said i just had soft teeth. because i have pretty good dental hygiene. my mom had a lot of cavities, too.

i really scored the jackpot of annoying family traits.
