if you throw enough stuff at the wall, something's got to stick. i am learning by the regret of past mistakes to make better choices in the future. but since the future doesn't really exist, it means i need to make good choices now. i need to stop and actually make a good decision every time i get the opportunity to choose.
i am down for a wee break. it's good to visit old friends and places, revisit old stories and wonder about the past and the future and how related the two actually are.
i am excited to be learning how to do pottery and use a kiln. so far it has been interesting. it doesn't feel like work, this learning. i enjoy it immensely. i think that i would be better suited for a hands-on, constructive sort of career.
i spent this evening at the goat with one lesley. we had a great time, and it did not matter in the least that it was my second shift at the goat today. only a few minutes into our foods and drinks, the power suddenly went out. it was out on a big chunk of princess, both sides of the street. it did not come back on, so the staff distributed candles and cut down what they could serve to cold treats, baked goods, and drip coffee. a lot of people stayed and a bunch of new people came in, attracted by the hominess of the candle-filled interior. i lurve power failures.
we dished for a long time. there is something about darkness and candlelight that is so conducive to honest conversation.
and you can dream, so dream out loud

hey girl. i miss the goat and i miss you! i'm sending you some cyber hugs... no mental hugs, they're much better.
i really enjoyed our candle lite time at the goat. its good to be in your company again. odd how certain environments create a setting for open and honest conversation in a way nothing else can. like pillow talk or roadtrips :)
