OHMYGOD!!!!! I can't stop laughing! And sort of retching, too.
I joined up with the facebook movement not too long ago, and have suffered the joy and horror of re-connecting with people i used to know. just when you celebrate that your class isn't having a ten-year reunion, a bunch of crazy people from high school find you. ick. I thought mad gossip was a new thing since moving north, but i've recently heard some real juicy rumours about myself from days of yore. ugh... high school.
sheesh... i hope i don't have nightmares.
what i intended to write about today was the lurvely package i received from my lurvely friends in academia. i laughed out loud while i opened each little package. books! chock-o-litts! books! jelliebeeens! funny little notes! thanks a million to scooter, annswer and the cowgirl (with cow kitty, yes). youse guys is the besst. iluhyuguys.
i'm still shuddering from facebook-related ailments.

i'm all intrigued. both by what the rumours were and who were the friends who send you a care-package!?!?! i don't know if i'll be able to sleep now :p
haha :p as if i'd repeat the awful rumours!
:) Glad it got there in one piece! Can you tell we were paranoid, by the way we wrapped every last thing?
Plus - about high school rumors. Obviously you had a lot of mystique for those people, right? For them to be all eager to track you down and ask you about the rumors. I think you should tell them "it's all true; I have to go now, Miguel is revving the motorcycle engine, and we can't be late for Her Grace's plane!"
mystique... that must have been because i was quiet and scared of my own shadow. i almost wish half the rumours were true - it would make me a lot more interesting! :D
and for the record, it's my motorcycle: miguel was polishing it for me. haha
thank you soooo much for the parcel - exspeshully the funny notes. i can hear you guys talking and arguing while you were boozing and writing them. ah... kbc...
