reinventing the wheel

i spent a large part of the afternoon trying to repeat past success on the wheel. so far i've made four lumps of clay.
two months of dead time have definitely had a negative impact on my skills. i will persevere, however, and try to have at least one sort-of-bowl-shaped thingie drying before i leave.

so i paused writing long enough to assault four more lumps of clay. two of them have turned into mostly round bowl-like structures. i am satisfied.
