brutal

i was nearly responsible for the break-up of a marriage.

my only involvement was the girls' night in question, which led to a call home to a sleeping hubby to come fetch his wife at 3 am, hosted at my house. i also pissed off my neighbour.

it got a little out of hand, the girls' night. good times. i think we all needed it.

frustration has been building - work is wearing on all of us. politics abound, half the staff isn't speaking to the other half. my own personal stress has increased due to a few problems and upcoming changes. marsh is leaving at the end of the year, which means i'll have to get another new roommate. my luck in this area has not been good, and naturally i'm nervous that i will end up living with a hairy, non-bathing hippie keener. not to mention that i again have to pay full rent for the summer.

ironically, these years of living among the most carnivorous people in the world is leading me more and more to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. it's that killing is so brutal. i've had to go the treeless expanse to become a tree-hugger, to the place where raw meat is the norm to stop wanting to eat meat, to a dry community to drink too much. it's all very ironic. bacon just doesn't taste as good anymore.

it never gets dark anymore. the sunrise was what led to the break-up of girls' night. that, and the dawning realization that we had to work in a few hours. that hurt.

i have nothing against hippies or the hairy people of the world. it's the non-bathing and the keener things that would irritate. i have to be able to drink and swear profusely in my own home. :)
