Some pictures for you, finally! Yesterday was our staff orientation: a codename for a free opportunity for seal hunting, berry=picking and qalunaat-freezing. We were out for ten hours straight yesterday. I was dressed well for the weather, and it was reasonably calm. However, I was frozen solid by the end. My hands didn't work right for the last 3 hours we were out there. I've never been so cold, I kid you not. And after four years in the north, getting lost in a blizzard and winter camping for a week at a time, that's saying something!

The icebergs are really astounding. I regret that you can't get a sense of scale for these monsters, because most of them were bigger than my house (just counting the visible part of the 'berg, too!)
more pics can be seen on my facebook page.
