ok, so i didn't intentionally lie, but i might have misled you. i have no pictures of my art stuff whatsoever. i suppose i could take one... that wouldn't be hard.
there.
i posted the better of my two nudes. he has a slightly bluish tint - what can i say? i'm an amateur. it takes time to learn how to paint shadows really well. and also, if you actually look at shadows and forget their context, they really are sort of bluish.
i'm now working on my final project, which is supposed to be a sort of metaphoric or symbolic self-portrait. we were supposed to find images fro newspapers and stuff on the date of our birth, find and relatve some deep inner meaning surrounding those images to ourselves, and create a sort of contemporary painting based on a collage of those pictures.
it sounds really neat, but i'll be honest with you - i could hardly find any images from 1978. so i cheated a little bit, and went to the used bookstore (yay wayfarer's, you've saved me again) and bought some national geographics from the period. i found some images that resonate with me, and now i'm pulling my yellow and faded-green hair out, trying to find a good arrangement of them.

The hair looks awesome -- esp love the cut and the placement of the color - and your painting is really very good. The color doesn't look off to me. Awesome!
