-> (most of) Wolf Parade, Wolf Island Music Fest 2007
oh my god. i am tired. i went to ikea yesterday with the mother. and then i came down to kingston and bought most of my personals and household stuffs for the next year. i fully expect the credit card dudes to put a hold on my card because of 'unusual activity.' that's what they did last year. it's embarrassing. and yet, i'm grateful that they don't just let 1000s of dollars flow onto my card without checking with me. i'd just prefer they call me to say, 'we've noticed unusual activity on your account... is it you?' instead of waiting until i get to the checkout with two carts of crap and having my card declined. like i said, embarrassing.
Kate, Lesley and Kevin (latter two being drama royalty)
in other news, and news more exciting than my shopping (blech), I attended the Wolfe Island Music Fest this past weekend. it was awesome. fantastic. i lurved it. thanks to kate and les and kevie and the drunk and high rapper dude who encouraged us to "DO A WAVE! BLUE JAYS N* SHIT!!" Wolf Parade was headlining - you should check them out. We were also treated to Holy F*!k and some Apostle of Hustle. And Weeping Tile did a little come-back set. But I don't think they're really coming back. They were just visiting. Lots of sunshine, beer and music makes beckie a happy happy girl. i can't remember evar feeling as peaceful as i did laying there listening to who-knows-who, baking in the sun. they should put that in a pill.
ps my hair is blue now.

I am so jealous of you guys. That looks like so much damn fun... What a great picture; looks like SUMMER! Sigh. Missing you, down here.
i am hatching a plan, with kate and probably lesley and anyone else who is interested, to make the WIMF a yearly thing. i mean, the festival already is a yearly thing, but we attending it could become a tradition inside of a tradition... wrapped in a mystery, surrounded by a twinkie.
point: you should come too!!!!!!!
and then we could spend some time relaxing at my cottage, too!
Hmmmm.. very pleasing thought!
Our classes start tomorrow (Mon 8/27). Scary. I will be dressing up for a job for the first time in my life, and getting called by a title. Yeeks.
When do you head north?
