strawberry

i have a sinus cold. just thought i'd let you know. just in case you care. it's sort of a sneezy, hacking-dry-coughy type of cold with sinus pressure, as opposed to the mucus-overload, can't-breathe-through-my-nose type. i'd have to say that the sinus pain is the only really oppressive part. if i could, i would open my head like a pop bottle that's been shaken, and let out the extra pressure. my dear mother suggested a warm cloth on my forehead might help. i plan to try it.

i spent the evening at a supper watching the sens game. i haven't kept up with the hockey this year. too emotional. but i enjoyed this game, especially after the sens finally remembered what they were there for. phew. i thought they were just going to chuck the whole series!

in other news, i played with my new camera a little bit. and i burned the thumb and index finger of my right hand by picking up a hot piece of metal. stupid. it hurts a fair amount.
this is the puppy-equivalent of licking your food so your big brother or sister doesn't steal it from you.

what else was i going to tell you...?

OH YEAH. We are less than a month away, baby. less than a month. things are going to be nuts soon. like more than now.

did you know it's been almost a year i've had this thing? one year ago, i was just starting to think of the possibility of going north again, and now here i am. i wonder if still would have done it if i knew then what kind of year it was going to be...
